ACCESSIONI A ANTIGONO DI CARISTO

Abstract

Ten years after the publication of Antigonus of Carystus' fragments (T. DORANDI, Fragments. Antigone de Caryste, Paris 1999), the author presents some considerations on the work of this personage, who was a biographer, historian of art and sculptor. In the first part of the article, two new fragments of his book On the animals are included. In the second part, the discussed problem of attribution to Antigonus of Carystus of the Mirabilia is reconsidered.
